1) So I am here in South Africa!!! This is a point in itself, because it's mega wild! I'm in an internet cafe, because I can't use the school computer lab until I register and all that good stuff. But soon. Oh baby so soon.

2) So that campus is beautiful. It's not like UCI because almost all the buildings are made of red brick and it all looks very cohesive. So far, it's mjaor predominantly black, so at the mall it's all white folks.

3) I have only seen one other asian kid, walking by him in the mall. Crazy! It really is a totally new experiance. I keep getting stared at, and I'm pretty sure it's because I am yellow asian status (because there are a lot of brown people here. It's cool!). There is a "Chinese" food place near campus called Golden Dragon. I will definitely have to check it out before I make any assumptions.

4) I haven't really been hit with home sickness yet. People all tell me to avoid facebook and the computer. So far this has been pretty easy because access has been so difficult. But it's cool. I'm making friends with the international kids and it's pretty rad. Some local kids too, but I haven't had the chance to saturate myself yet. Hilarious!!

5) I haven't been able to unpack my room or anything yet, but I promise that I will put up pictures. It's really so amazingly beautiful here! There are all these trees and next week we are definitely heading to Durban and maybe Cape Town. Deep sea shark diving and the worlds highest bungee jump?! HALLEEE Yeah. Hehe I am pretty stoked!!!!
