I am dressed like a unicorn waiting for some kiddies, dressed just as well as I, to give them candy that I bought. Fun night!! Happy Halloween!!

SIKE! Here is something more interesting:

This is the secret destruction of acrylic nails. Even though I post this, give me less than a month, my nails will soon be shiny and glittery and beeyooteefullll once again. This is a barrier, a road block, a minor very painful obstacle. An "ouchie" if you will...
Anyways, after I struggle to figure out macro... I GOT IT!

MACROOOOOOO!!!!

Dorosister's blog is better because it has more diversity in clothing. Also, because she own more accessories than bracelets and big earring. For my ONE HUNDREDTH post, I dedicate to her. Also, because I have nothing more interesting I'd like to share.

Some days I realize how important faith is. Especially when you have tremendously awkward bad luck -- like I do.
This morning, I woke up super early but still couldn't get my lunch together fast enough. I watched the butt of the bus drive away, and instead of trudging back to my apartment and changing into jeans, I just got in my car and drove to school. When I parked, after paying eight bucks, and was like "What the hell I totally could have biked to school again!"
I went to the library, cursing my stupidity. Photocopied and did some reading. Then, when I got up I realized I ripped the ass of my skirt. So I went and bought a hot dog from APSA and then walked to class. Sat for thirty minutes of "The Fall of the I-Hotel", and then told my teacher and headed home to change.
Granted, if I had changed into jeans and rode my bike, I would not have had this issue. But none-the-less, I'd like to think there is a higher intellectual being (aka Jesus) who is watching over me and my uni-tard not-so-covered ass.

My life has gone from pure simple easy bliss to crazy exhaustion and stress in one week. I spent last weekend (was it that?) hanging out, which was beyond amazing. Came back knowing I had two papers due on Friday, but was smacked in the face by all this Fulbright stuff. So I've spent the past few days frantically collecting things, running around the school, and crying. Drove to Claremont this morning. Drove back and I guess everything worked out.
I'm really happy that there is love in Irvine. I was so not feeling good earlier this week. Like, a sense of complete loneliness and destitute. Brandon came over and we just hung out and helped Tra make a candied apples. It was just something to bring me back to a good place.
I'm dedicated to watching the Real World: San Francisco. I alternate between awe at the amazing clothing and hair, being amazed at how much better this season is, and tearing up because AIDS sucks so bad.
Also. I am so so so so so not ever even no way in hell kidding when I say: I want to move to Atlanta because Usher lives there and that's where the Mo'nique show is filmed.

Fuck. I am the biggest hot mess. I guess my Fulbright application is due in less than an hour. I should check my email more slash be more dedicated. Fuck.
Also, this weekend I locked my keys in my trunk and spent the night anxiety dreaming and then dreaming I made the perfect pizza.
The weekend was fantastic, but now it's crash and burnnnnn.

It seems like there are a few interesting movies coming out that are challenging the "mainstream". I've been ready about the politics of location, the power of the oppositional gaze, and other different feminist and classist theories in my classes that I had never though about. I think this is a new leaf in my life. I found myself mumbling about my own location while I washed the dishes. Brand new days ahead.
I'm really interested in this movie:
We all go through transitions in life, whether it's a career change, or moving, but for Davina Wan, hers has been very extreme - from the gang life to a "normal" life. Excuse My Gangsta Ways is a visual poetic documentary portrait on Davina Wan, a Chinese American woman, who was a former gang member from the 1990s Lower East Side. With interviews from her grandmother and godfather, we will take a look at the person she was and the person she has become, where fate and inspiration endure.

I just saw someone on facebook write that it's two hours until his 21st birthday and he is sitting at home alone and I was struck. I kind of forecast that for me. But it'll be cool. My birthday is always a day of pure and delightful celebration.
As a new but old pet owner slash master, I am very pleased with this new beta fish. I earned it. And also, my Dad feeds it most days of the week. I think it might explode with fatness now, so I limit its eating. Don't want to not have a baby that can be in Toddlers and Tiaras!

Dear Young Warriors fighting the wrong wars! Killing each other is definitely played out. Being hurt from the lost of a love one was never cool.
Dear Young Warriors fighting the wrong war! I know that feeling, that frustration with life and needing to take it out on someone, any one. But....
We chose the dumbest things to go the hardest for. I remember seeing deaths over 8 ball jackets, Fila sneakers, and name plate chains. Deaths over "he say, she say"!!!!! "I'm from this block or I'm from that block", or "my moms n pops is f*cked up now the whole world gotta pay"!!!
I remember feeling like I was the hardest "n*gga" breathing. And I couldn't wait to prove it. But let's think. What are we really proving?? And proving what to who?? Everybody knows Chicago breeds the strongest of the strong but I just feel, me, being ya brother from another state feels your pain as if I grew up with you in ya very own household.
You have the ability and mindpower to change they way we are looked at. Look who's watching us young warriors, look who's throwing us in jail constantly, look at the ignorance in the world. Look at the racist dogs who love to see us down. Loving to bury us in the ground or in jail where we continue this worthless war on one another.
Young warriors.... We are WASTING more and more time. We gotta get on our jobs and take over the world. Cuz this movie left the theaters years ago, Juice, Menace, Boys n the Hood , Blood n Blood Out, Belly!
When we see each other why do we see hatred? Why were we born in a storm, born soldiers, WARRIORS....and instead of building each other up we are at war with each other.. May the soul of this young person find peace with the almighty. I'm with you young warriors. You're me and I'm you. But trust me! you are fighting the wrong war.
This sh*t sucks !!

Your fight should to be about becoming bigger and better. To have your own businesses. Real businesses Not Hustles. To have careers not jobs. Not selling mixtapes. You have the resources to do anything you want. There's no excuses. We have no one to blame butourselves.. We have so much great work to do!!!
I like Nas on 106 and Park.
