Before you accuse me of hating on interracial lovers and their offspring, let me just say that it is not individual interracial white/nonwhite couples that trouble me. It is rather the constant movie/televisual representations of mixed race couples and their corollary that tires me out: which is that white folks are always portrayed as more loveable and desirable than people of color.

Picnic day!!!

Brandon with the spread. Ham, Egg, Sharp Cheddar Cheese, and Mayo sandwiches on Rosemary and Olive Oil Bread. Orangina (LOL), ChocoPies, Thin Mints, White Chedder Corn Puffs, and Mixed Berry Muffins. Very good.

Brandon chasing away seagulls who were giving us the evil demon eyes.
Two ducks.

So, lately facebook has been bombarding me with the same fucking ads. They know that I crave baby, and I've accepted it so far because the babies are funny, cute, and CHUBBY! Unfortunately...

This baby looks fine. It's just a kind of creepy picture but the child looks very strong. I would like to have a child like this for manual labor. Like making me sandwich or stealing Girl Scout Cookies for Mama.
Uhhh... Hello!?! This baby is all cheek. I could handle that. I would just poke at the plumpness. FOREVER!!
This is definitely my FAVORITE baby. It looks like it could possible drop from my surrogate Mama's womb into my arms!! I would feed it Xiao Long Bao and mochi ice cream all day long. And it will love me forever.

Then it got weird. And slightly offensive. But... we won't go into that. None-the-less, I was beginning to get worried. Then...

Creepy Ginger. With glasses. Rolling on the floor. With no souls. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

This is the bento I made him. Yes. Rice, a heart made of korean bbq beef, peppery asparagus cooked with slices of pork belly, two ChocoPies, three packages of Taiwanese salted peas, and a love note. Handle my crazy for four months and you may be just as lucky. Also, today I've decided that for our six months I want to go to Medieval Times. Where I will get very very drunk.
Today was exhausting. My car was towed. That sucked. Also, I had no proof insurance. That sucked even more. But on a very happy up lifting note, I had this following conversation with John Liu (Click his profile but first note him mid chuckle!):
John Liu: So did your editorial get published?
Grace Young: What?!?! What editorial!?!
JL: The letter you wrote to the New U?
GY: Oh noooooooo. They needed the space for other crappy opinion pieces that read like fan fictions. And they wanted to silence my Asian American Voice. HAHAHA (imagine this with the added element of manicalness).
JL: That is what they did. They want to silence you. Well, it's okay because I thought your article was very well written and articulate.
GY: WOULD YOU HAVE GIVEN ME A TWENTY EIGHT OUT OF THIRTY?!!?!?
(side note: So the first essay of the class was returned and I got a 28/30, which was the highest grade in the class. BUT, John Liu grades papers in relation to the other papers and not by themselves! Like, a third of the class was in the D range which means my paper would really be a C!!! I was very butt hurt.)
JL: I would have given it a 30.
GY: BBBBBIIIIGGGGGGG HHUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.
So, suffice to say. Today was rad.

In the spirit of bringing some light hearted joyness back to this blog, here are some good parts of today.
First, I love crop tops so much:

Second, I had the leisure time to do something I've been planning for a while. I'll show more of this tomorrow.
On a last note, please take care tomorrow. It shit hits fan run to me. I'm going to try and have some stuff prepared just in case. Bandaids, vinegar rags. Tomorrow is for love.

"I'm talking about for March 4th, because we anticipate heavy police presence, and from what we've seen earlier this year with police brutality against protestors, let's not just bring cameras and make a fuss when we get beat up by the pigs, instead, lets' bring rags with vinegar, solution to deal with tear gas, and train ourselves with black bloc tactics(how to move as a coherent unit to prevent being singled out and arrested, etc) so we can effectively resist and protect our brothers and sisters. Instead of relying on racist police to 'protect' us from racist, when they themselves are racist, to take it on ourselves to look after each other and pick up knowledge and skills regarding self-defense. After all, who is going to protect us when the police brutalize us? Not the legal system - only us."
